The Arkansas Spinal Cord Commission and our Case Managers provide numerous services to individuals who have met the medical criteria, including life-long case management, counseling, guidance, advocacy, resource identification, referral for other services, technical assistance, and other services without regard to income.
Student Wellness Advocacy Group (SWAG)SWAGs are aimed at helping students in 7 - 12th grades learn to advocate for themselves and for healthier campuses. Each year the Arkansas Department of Health funds up to 12 campuses to host SWAGs, providing them with funding, presentations on varying health and advocacy topics, and guidance on advocacy projects in their school, community, or state. The Arkansas Maternal Mortality Review Committee (AMMRC) began with the passage of Act 829 of 92nd General Assembly Regular Session, 2019. The AMMRC was developed with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Building US Capacity to Review and Prevent Maternal Deaths and is modeled after well-established review committees in the United States.
These programs are in-depth, interdisciplinary and highly customizable based on your interests. For example, the management and promotion program offers courses from marketing, communications and business; and the performance major includes electives from broadcast journalism, English and dance.
Tyler King graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and an emphasis in performance and a minor in dance. He now works regularly as a Performance/Motion Capture actor and stuntman in video games and movies. "Don't stop learning" is the advice he would give his future self.

NYC WINTER STUDYNYC Winter Study provides dancers with an immersive experience in the NYC dance community over two weeks in early January. Applications open in October and close in December.

Gibney Group Study proudly offers customized, immersive programs for students around the world. Designed to provide a glimpse into the professional dance world and sustainable careers in the arts, the Group Study program offers technical training and addresses pressing issues in the field.
A screening and discussion series, Sorry I Missed Your Show highlights dance works from the recent past to explore their relationship to the dance canon and contemporary practice. Due to COVID-19, Sorry I Missed Your Shows will happen on Zoom for the Fall 2020 Season.
With the purpose of expanding opportunities for dancers with disabilities and advancing accessibility and inclusion within the larger dance community, the program awards dancers with disabilities week-long residency opportunities at Gibney.
Imagining is a bimonthly digital journal featuring writing from the dance and performance community reflecting the scope and diversity of this field. Led by Editorial Director, Eva Yaa Asantewaa, Imagining presents writing at the intersection of the arts and social justice, making space for provocative voices.
The Independent Training program is open to dancers of all levels, to hone in on their training while maintaining a flexible work-life balance. The Professional Semester is audition-based for advanced dancers looking to launch their professional careers through a rigorous training structure.

In addition to the Electric Crew, Ashley is also the owner and artistic director of Dance Ink which has grown to become one of the premier dance studios in Saskatoon. With over 25 years of experience studying various dance forms, she takes great pride in technical skill, dedication, teamwork, and the unique creative expression of each dancer. This can be seen in the community throughout the year with students performing in things such as WE Day, Swinging with the Stars, Telemiracle, Nuit Blanche and the Harlem Globetrotters Half Time Show to name a few.
Dan Backlund teaches classes in scenic design, lighting design, scene painting, computer aided drafting and design, as well as Asian Theatre. He has worked professionally as a designer and scenic artist for more than 400 shows creating scenery, lighting, and environmental designs for theatre, dance, opera, television, special events, and live concerts.
Courtney directs the dance program at the University of the South. In her professional performing career, she danced for eight years simultaneously with Bill Evans Dance Company/Bill Evans Rhythm Tap Ensemble, and BIODANCE. She currently performs tap and modern dance with companies and independent artists on a project basis. As a choreographer, her work has been performed nationally at theaters, festivals, and universities. She has taught dance in higher education at The College at Brockport, The University of Rochester, Nazareth College, and Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Since arriving at Sewanee, Courtney has developed the dance minor curriculum and was named the 2015-2017 recipient of the James D. Kennedy III Endowed Faculty Fellowship.
The Tennessee Williams Center provides unique, state-of-the-art facilities for students and faculty. Created with funds from the estate of Tennessee Williams himself, the Center houses a fully-equipped 175-seat theatre, a 60-seat studio theatre, a drafting and design studio, a dance studio, costume and scenery studios, and dressing rooms. 2ff7e9595c
